TOMI is a children's walker (rear walker type) – an innovative mobility aid designed for children with mobility challenges. The device provides stable support during walking training, rehabilitation, and daily activities both at home and outdoors. This allows the child to practice walking in a safe, upright position.

The TOMI structure is made of lightweight materials, which makes it easy to handle. The device is foldable, meaning it takes up little space during storage and transportation. It is available in two sizes, tailored to the child's height and needs.

The TOMI walker offers a wide range of adjustments and additional accessories that guarantee a perfect fit for the child's body shape and the highest level of safety:

  • Adjustable top frame: The upper section of the structure features height adjustment. It is equipped with handles whose height and width can be easily adjusted to meet the child's needs. Additionally, the handles can be fitted with forearm supports with handgrips.

  • Three options of trunk support: Depending on physiotherapeutic requirements, the walker offers:

    • Back support only,

    • Back support with laterals (lateral stabilization),

    • Back and lateral support combined with a sling seat (harness-style), which precisely positions the pelvis.

  • Flip-down seat: The practical, fold-down seat allows the child to rest and regain energy at any moment during a walk or training session.

  • Advanced rear wheel system: The wheels are equipped with adjustable rolling resistance (friction brake) and an anti-reverse stop, which effectively prevents the walker from rolling backwards uncontrollably.

  • Front swivel casters with lock: The front swivel wheels make maneuvering easy, while the directional lock function helps the child maintain a stable straight-forward path.

  • Anti-tip safety mechanism: Fixed anti-tip tubes protect the walker from tipping over backwards, giving both the child and the caregiver a full sense of security.

  • Attendant's handle: An additional handle allows the parent or therapist to have full control and provide assistance to the child during walking training.

Additional technical information: Depending on the selected size, the device is designed to support user weights ranging from 30 to 50 kg (in accordance with the graphic icons on the product data sheet).

TOMI requires no tools for assembly and adjustment.

Relative contraindications:

  • Atypical, undesirable patient reaction to standing up.

  • Acute joint inflammation of various origins.

  • Post-traumatic conditions following long bone fractures with incomplete healing, as well as postoperative weight-bearing restrictions on joints.

  • Conditions following dislocations and other joint injuries of the lower limbs.
