Baffin Automatic RS

The multifunctional standing frame Baffin Automatic RS is designed to set the patient in multiple sitting positions or the standing position. It is available in 3 sizes: S, M, L for children and adolescents between 85cm and 130cm (2’8” - 4’3”) tall.

Push handle with a break and big wheels, it“s a guarantee of comfortable and safe transportation.

Baffin Automatic RS thanks to increased MOBILITY is perfect for use at both - school and home. Patient, while sitting in the device can participate in educational activities, occupational therapy and fun. Baffin favors the activation of the Patient and the building of cognitive functions. The device is controlled by means of electric actuators. The change of position between sitting, lying and standing takes place using the remote control

Thanks to the innovative system of built-in spine, side supports and pelvis correction, Baffin Automatic RS is an excellent tool for physiotherapists, which simplifies getting the patient into standing or sitting positions. Spinal support along the whole back line helps to reduce pressure on a single vertebra, while multi-positioning enables the change of an axial tension vector. Thanks to the our remote control system, reaching a standing position is easy and does not require carer’s force. During the day, the patient remains in the device, since the upright standing function is available on demand. There is no need to take the patient out of the device, because it is possible to carry out a few-minute upright standing cycles, combined with resting in a sitting position. Thanks to this solution, the frequency of performing operations may be increased and a patient is upright more often, which positively influences their general health state.

Baffin Automatic RS enables establishing a correct sitting pattern. The patient equipped with the device may take part in educational activities, occupational therapy and in play. The device helps to activate the patient and develop cognitive functions. An important feature is that Baffin ’grows’ with its user — it ensures long usage without the need to change the device.

Baffin Automatic RS is usually used by people with the following conditions:
cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophies, paralyses of various etiology, spina bifida, myelomeningocele,, condition after a spinal injury, condition after a craniocerebral trauma, condition after strokes, faulty postures, particularly scoliosis, when different treatment cannot be used.

Contraindications for using Baffin Automatic are the same as those against staying in upright position, including:

Joint inflammation of different origins
Condition after long bone fractures with incomplete healing process
Conditions after dislocations and other joint injuries
Increased body temperature

Thanks to its structure, Baffin Automatic RS device makes it possible to put upright patients with fixed contractures of a hip and a knee joint, however, such cases must be analysed individually.

Footrest

Unique adjustments of the footrest in all directions. The footrest enables feet stabilisation according to detailed physiotherapist’s instructions.
Headrest

Adjusts to the shape and position of the head. Excellent stabilisation of the little patient's most important body part.
Adjustable hip support and a multi-position arm support

Enable correction of postural defects — by setting the user's spine and pelvis in the correct positions.
Table RS

A large surface of the table- 2200 cm2 ensures that eating and play is comfortable.
